Ps4 controller not working

I tried everything in the settings the ps4 controller is plugged and it works fine with other games, big picture works and everything. When i start the game it doesnt matter if its from big picture or directly trought the desktop the controller just doesnt do anything so i'm forced to use mouse and keyboard.

I did not have any problem with using PS4 controller in Fallen Order. It was mapped as Xbox controller as far as I recall but no other issues at all. I did not even have to run the utility for the controller to be recognized.

I would be ok with xbox controls i dont care at all, but the game just dont recognize the controller

Force off Steam controller support for this game and use DS4Windows[github.com]. This is an updated version. You'll also get the PS4 buttons using this method.

Works for other UE4 games like Code Vein and recently found it works for Ubisoft games like Watch Dogs 2 and they don't even use UE4

Ah thank you! I know I am reviving an old post, but this got my DS4 working wirelessly (previously it needed to be plugged in to be recongized). Of course it is being recongized as an Xbox controller. since that is part of the job of DS4Windows (I didn't know about/have the updated version though), and it would be *amazing* to have it show the PS4 keybindings again, but unless anyone has specific insight into this, I will consider this a solid fix.

Edit: I missed this at first, but you can have DS4Windows act as a DS4 controller when you set up a profile, and since this game has native support for the DS4, it just works!
