So if I die I lose all experience on my experience bar?
I died and it seemed like my entire experience bar was depleted instead of just the points I gained since the last save. There was this big booogoodoo animal I just couldnt beat.

On the map is there an indicator or something telling me where chests are or do I have no hint at all where chests/secrets etc are? It seems like there were many areas I couldnt access on the first planet.

Those areas are "gated" behind abilities. Once you get the proper upgrades and you return to that planet, take a look at the holomap. On it, unexplored areas will have a yellow barrier there, if they were locked behind Red barricades those will now be green (or yellow, until you actually go to them and unlock them).

wouldnt be exploring if the map tells you everything aye? You also do lose exp, but can be gain back by hitting the monster tat killed you.

1st: If you die you loose all your current experience. You CAN get this back if you *hit* the enemy that killed you. It will glow golden (the one that killed you). As long as you hit it (if it blocks it doesn't count) then you will get ALL of you XP back.

I am assuming you died to the giant frog thing on Bogano? That is a boss enemy and I recommend you wait to kill it until you have more lvls under your belt, that is hard.

Also many areas are not accessble right away, you need to progress further in the story to unlock the powers needed to access all areas. When something major is unlocked the crew of the mantis will usually mention it to you (we should go and check out this planet again)...it's a good idea to do that.

No the animal was a medium size frog thing with a big teethy mouth that jumps at me.. I can drop down a pit and hit it on landing but cant seem to finish it off. I was wondering what the golden glow thing was. I can imagine spending countless hours trying to find all the secrets and chests. Not my thing personally.

on the map different sections will have there own names and you can also see how many chests and secrets there are in each section and if you found all of them.there is one type of collectible that the map interface doesnt list but you will know if you found or not because it will tell you if you exploered that section 100% or not.

Hit the enemy that killed you and you'll get your xp back. The not being able to go everywhere thing enourages you to go back there later in the game, its a mechanic from all the lego star wars games aswell. :)

You can always can back... in fact you have to come back after you gain abilities and stuff to places you already been.

At dead you don't lose you gained point, they are "stored", you lose you xp bar until you hit at least one time the mf that killed you once you respawn.

Just so you know, you can also die in other ways and you will have to find your "death spot". It will just be a golden pillar of light, kinda like one of those blue Force echo sense spots. You have to go up to it and interact with it, rather than attack anything. Seems kinda silly really. "The map killed me, now I gotta go back and reclaim my XP from the spot where I fell." Enemies, makes sense. Drop off a ledge, not so much. :-P

You always lose your experience when you get killed, but what you can do is just go back to that enemy hit it one time, (because then you get all your experience back) and get the hell out of there. Just hit the enemy and run away :)

On the map, if you hover over one part of the map it will light up bright blue and if you look in the down-left corner, it will say the percentage explored, secrets found and chests found. You don't get an indicator about where they might be on that part of the map so you will just have to explore for yourself. Some places will be marked with red on the map which means you can't by no possible way get through there at this point of time so you will just have to go to the next planet. But when you have unlocked more skills or force-powers through flashbacks you can go back to for example the first planet and then you will be able to access the areas that you couldn't before :)

I don't understand how you don't know about the experience loss. The game straight up tells you all about the experience point loss and how to reclaim it when you die the first time. Did you just bother not to read?

Just reset the game since it doesn't auto-save you'll get your experience points back.
