Falling through the elevator in Bogano

I just reached the point where I learn the wall running ability, and now when I try taking the lift/elevator shortcut back up, when I reach about 3/4 of the way up the game drops a bunch of frames, which seems to cause Cal to start falling through the lift, and before he does the game just goes and respawns me at the bottom.

This was happening to me last night until the game crashed, and I just called it a night. Here's the part that kills me. Today, first time I loaded up I went straight to the lift, and I got to the top, but then I realized since the game crashed on me last night it didn't save that I opened loot crate at the bottom, so I left it unopened this time. I figured "hopefully the bug was a one instance thing," went back down to get my loot, and now I can't get back up again.

Anyways, wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue and found a reliable way to overcome it.

Edit: Full restart of the game got me to the top.

Might want to verify game files too. But, only if something weird happens a second time. I'm willing to give games one chance before I start messing with it.

One time might be a fluke, but if it starts happening again, that's a pattern.

And I had to update my drivers to the latest.

This has happened to me as i go up the elevator i fall through the floor and then i,m stuck in the shaft. cant get out. there is also no other way out but Via the elevator what do i do?
