I think the Force Push is a little bit OP.
First of all, I would like to point out that this post is not a crying/whining post, because there are already enough of them here in the Fallen Order's forum. I'm just curious about the opinions of those who play the game to see if they agree with me or not.

I started playing the game in Jedi Grand Master difficulty because I really like the challenge factor and mechanics of Dark Souls/Souls-like games. For me the game is very challanging, and I love playing it in the hardest difficulty. But after unlocking the Force Push ability, I noticed that this ability makes the game a lot easier to play. Let me explain it better.

I guess (or hope) I'm not the only one who loves Souls-like games because these games feels like they are fair to us. If I don't pay attention to my opponent, I'll die. If I run into the middle of the battle, I will die. But if I learn the movements and attacks of my opponent, the game rewards me. It's a perfectly fair attitude, and I was never angry if I even died 100 times, before I had my last blow to a boss.

But in the Jedi Fallen Order, it doesn't feel so fair when I force push the albino spider off the cliff, who is a mini-boss. Or I kill instantly with this tactic a Purge Trooper. Yes, you could tell me not to play like that. I'm not trying to shorten the game that way. At first I just tried it out for a joke, and then when I saw it worked, I just blinked, how the developers didn't think about it.

I know we're not talking about such a big thing that will make the game unplayable, just I think this ability is a little bit wierd in combat. Once again, don't get me wrong, not the whole "Force Push" is wrong. I love to force push back a rocket to the Stormtroopers or push a simple Stormtrooper off the cliff, right after he said: "This is all you can?!" 😂 But I find it a bit exaggerated to kill a boss (even it's a side boss), by pressing a single key.

What do you think? Should developers fix this? Or whoever does not want to, will not use this ability for such a purpose. Sorry for the long post. Have a nice day!

Force pull is pretty busted as well honestly, not as much as push but still up there. I've gone through entire levels just skewering every enemy that came my way and refilling my force gauge with stim packs every so often.

I agree. This should be balanced.

Well, as you said, don't use the ability, if you want more of a challenge, but the Force Push works as advertised, however, it can't really kill actual bosses, only some of the souped up mini boss versions of normal enemies. If you try Force Push on actual bosses, they will, at best, only get stunned for a fraction of a second.

Also, apparently, if you are good enough, you can defeat all bosses without the use of force powers (including heavy attacks) even on Grand Jedi Master difficulty and without taking damage to boot:

This video did show me that I am severly lacking in skills and that my training is not nearly complete. The only saving grace here is, that the creator of that video had to do at least a few tries before he got it right, as all bosses have the familiar glow of holding XP from a former death.

All legit tactic. But the chances to do force push on elite enemies toward edge is RARE. On ice planet for example. 1-2 times.

Force pull on other hand make most encounter a joke against commanders. Just pull them in and lightsaber hug.

As many times as I died I don't getting a few cheesy "kills" in from time to time.
