Rooftop on Kashyyyk - Jedi Grand Master difficulty

Just failed this probably six times in a row.. got the AT-ST to below half health a couple times and keep getting killed by something. It's not the lasers or the rockets, or the blue bombs he's dropping because I'm mostly keeping my distance. Is there some other ranged attack it has I'm missing? Is it shooting something at the same time as dropping smoke at it's feet?

I am super confused...

maybe you aren't keeping enough distance from the bombs then. It has the 4-6 bombs dropping. The 2 bombs that drops 1 at a time when you are under it's feet. Electricity bombs that stuns you in place, no damage. Shooting lasers. That's pretty much all it does.

Funny, I literally just did that section with the same difficulty.

Of course, it might be that you simply missed one of the stormtroopers-- the new spawns don't necessarily wait for you to fully clear the old ones.

But also- I happened to notice that the troopers on the roofs above you are targetable. They never fired at me... but they're real NPC actors... maybe one of em saw you?

No I cleared everything before the AT-ST. I usually have half health with 3 stims to use. (I have 5 total stims). I just need to do a better job conserving health and stims before the AT-ST comes. I also usually die trying to stim against it and get hit by a laser. The two times I almost beat it I wasn't sure how I actually died..

Stormtroopers on the roof sometimes decide to fire at you... sometimes not. Sometimes some fire, others don't.

Took me literally hours to do this bit. I was on the verge on dropping the difficulty.

Here's how I eventually did it

Firstly, make sure you've got the security droid hack ability for BD-1. This is invaluable and almost absolutely needed. It's located on Kashyyyk.

The tactic I used was to as soon as you get upto the roof, immediately repeatedly force push the two flamethrower troops into the wall. With a bit of luck you can do this in time to save at least one of the Wookies, and slamming them into the walls will damage them enough to cause them to explode

Then focus your attention on the droid. Once you've damaged him enough, BD-1 can hack him so he's on your side. This gives the troops (and the AT-ST) that then drop in something else to shoot at.

Once you've disposed of the troops, retreat to the doorway area where you pushed the storm troopers and use it as cover. The AT-ST will only come so far down and you can remain in cover without being hit

Then occasionally pop out from cover and deflect the laser shots until the AT-ST launches a missile at you. At which point, use the force to push the missile back at him

Rinse and repeat till he's down.

If you heal make sure you're in cover or that the AT-ST has its back turned. Flee first if you have too.

Other then that just KEEP MOVING. Never stop. If you see grenades then back up ASAP. Get in single, safe hits when you can. Get in, get out. The ability that deflects laser shots when you sprint will be a big help as well. You're going to be fighting two of these at once eventually. So get used to hit and run tactics.
