Of course I am not going to pre order this "Game".But as far as I noticed, a lot of people are angry because of the censoring. No dismemberment with light sabers on organics? Ok. people on the internet will have to do it for Respawn Entertainment.

Taking into consideration the abundance of mods available for Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017), and the fact the Jedi: Fallen Order was created with Unreal Engine, which is easily moddable in most scenarios). I would say that it is reasonably likely that there will be at least a small modding community for this game.

This is E(vil)A(ass) don't expect mods support, they want to sell you any even small bs with pricetag on it, imagine someone do work for free and want to share it - it is blasphemy in EA "culture"...

Not exactly a mod support from EA but expect mods created by people posted on some website out there. Modders only create mods because there's a community and demand revolving around a game and Star Wars has a huge fan base out there. Modders would have the incentive to produce mods as long as there is a steady demand of mods generated by the fan base in exchange for exposure.

The engine fallen order runs on is unreal engine, which i (think?) has decent modding support.

Hi, moderator from r/unrealengine here, sadly nope, UE4 modding is weird and hard and 99% of the time it need a custom version of the editor (aka the modding tool) from the devs that made the game.

Any official modding tool has to be distributed via the Epic Games Launcher but this has nothing to do with the Epic Games Store exclusives, this restriction is here since 2014 and doesn't mean the game has to be on EGS to have a modding tool, some examples are ARK: Survival Evolved, Helium Rain, Atlas, SQUAD and more.

I don't think EA will allow Respawn to release any modding tool but maybe i'm wrong.

On Epic Games side they are working on improving mod support for UE4 and we hope to have better "tools to make modding tools" in the future.

Said that, on un-official side all can happen but i repeat, right now the UE4 games in general are hard to mod without any official tool.

Btw Jedi Fallen Order looks amazing and i'm very happy is coming out soon!
