Any similarities to Jedi Knight combat and movement?
Do you control your attack animations and acrobatics like in JK (and to what degree) or is it more scripted?

Im scrolling through twitch and its hard to find someone actually in combat that doesn't look like a God of War encounter.

thats pretty much what you get in this game, zero effort required.

That's too bad. Do you know if you give directional input to control attack animations?

honestly the combat seems worse than Swtor, how combat mechanics can go backwards i have no idea. The folks at Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast kept their secrets thats for sure.

It's like Sekiro but worse.

The more I watch the worse it looks. Looks as bad as TFU was. Going to have to play through Academy again I guess.

Imagine if they remade Academy with todays tech, that would be a good day indeed.

I'm finding the game plays more like the Tombraider reboot, with less stealth and a lightsaber. Enjoying it so far

Not what I was hoping for but still pretty fun. I managed to jump over a trooper and backward stab him and it almost felt like Academy for a second.

Nothing like JK2/JKA combat which is really sad. I don't know why no dev does that anymore

Not really, the combat was just RUNE but with Force powers

Because it's incredibly basic and out of vogue, unlike ripping off Dark Souls (this game)

It is nowhere near Jedi Knight, and also nowhere near dark souls. It's an attempt at a soulslike combat system, but I honestly think that was just a buzzword they fed the shareholders. Their attempt at making it soulslike is having a combat parry and enemies respawn when you use a checkpoint.
