Hi everyone! I've been quiet for a while but haven't been sitting around. As some of you might know Nira is coming to Switch, which required some performance issues to be solved. To get the game running on Switch I've rewritten parts of the world generator to spread the loading of chunks much more evenly than before. This resulted not only in a huge performance boost, but also caused the overall game to run much more stable and smooth when moving around.

Hi everyone! This patch contains another load of polishing and visual updates. I've updated the menus and GUI to look smoother, fixed some visual glitches and added some effects. I've also updated some old tutorials to be more clear and in line with the new GUI. Enjoy!

Hey everyone! Today I'm pushing a patch with a ton of improvements to the flow and intuitiveness of the UI and menus. This might not sound very interesting but I've found that it significantly improves your player experience if you don't have to work with fiddly frustrating menus, and it leaves more time for the fun stuff. I've been struggling with UI and menu flow for as long as I can remember, but Graffiti Games really came to the rescue to help me out with this, so big shoutout to them!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you all know I just pushed another patch with a ton of fixes, and more importantly; it's now live on the default branch! So no need to play on the final branch anymore. Graffiti Games has been very helpful in testing the game, so this version should give you a very polished version of the game. Hi everyone!

I've been quiet for a while, but haven't been slacking! In the past months I've been working together with a new partner to improve the game and prepare for final release. More info about this partnership will be announcent next week, but for now I'd like to share a pre-final build of Nira. Outside of localization and proper testing, this will be the full release version of Nira.

To access this new patch, you need to select the 'final' branch.
You can activate this branch by right clicking Nira from your library, selecting the Beta's tab and selecting the Final branch from there. The final version of Nira should then start downloading!

The final version of the game includes an intro cutscene and adds more backstory to the game. It should make objectives more clear and give better guidance to new players, but it also has an ending! I hope this will make the entire experience more meaningful.

Additionally, I've add a set of new items, including sharks swimming around, Ogre's can do more attacks, a ton of new sound effects and much more!

I'm really happy with this version of the game, but having added so much new stuff to the game, I really want it to get some proper testing before we go into full release. That's why I would like to ask everyone who's interested to try this version of the game, and let me know what you think of it.

The goal of the upcoming update is to make the world of Nira more dense and interesting. The plan is to do this by adding new items, animals and stuff to discover along the way. This update kicks this off with the addition of balls, new chests to find and floating chests. Additionally a couple of bugs where fixed.
