Are hackers a problem with this game?

The furthest west represents the less toxic/pure/noobiest of the playerbase, the more east you go represents the RMT'ers, hackers, and toxic of the playerbase. And the east is the worst of MO, RMT is rampant with corrupt GM's, not only banning people exposing RMT'ing guilds but also actively teleport RMT'ers into the Necro dungeon. They even deleted two guilds for the right price, MANA and KOTO.

RMT happens. Its part of the online struggle. The GMs work very hard to get rid of this type of behaviour. We have monthly reports. I just posted one for September. The GMs do not have favorites.

These kind of posts are cope. Either he or his friend was banned for cheating, or he is just stirring stuff up.

If you have things to report, please do so in game to GMs, or in our discord to Robmo or the GMs. The GM team will take a look and see if there is an issue.

i dunno i have 3k hours at this point and i can only ever recall like 2 times i was actively hacked on, the exploits and ♥♥♥♥ dont really affect the individual more so the macro guild conflicts but you can entirely ignore that and just vibe and adventure if that's what you're after, even if you do decide to participate in guild politics unless you join like the 4 or 5 mega zergs you'll never really see much of the nasty.

Any new player reading this I would suggest you to disregard this information.

I strongly vouch for the fact that toxic/RMT/Hacker/Cheater population is spread evenly throughout the game.

But if anything Western parts like Fabernum and Meduli have plenty of those players there because those are the places where many players converge.

Additionally the two guilds mentioned by TASU are full of unsavory folks who take part in doing those things.

They are even run by people who don't mind doing that. Mana leader abused the ♥♥♥♥ out flux and Koto frequently exploit the game to get an edge.

yeah, basic point, it's there... there's always something. If you live just in the world and such, do your own thing, it probably won't affect you too much. But there is always the "don't invest too much" feeling because you can lose it to hax or exploits, ez. Or even just some bs bug.

I've looked at the ban reports, noticed that not one person looks to have been banned for "RMT" despite the community (and therefor GM's) being very aware and particular guilds farming for RMT. I see "hacking", "breaking communication policy", "combat logging", "botting", "exploiting", "abusing GM's", RMT groups may use botting but RMT and botting aren't the same thing and don't see a single mention of it in the ban reports you posted.

Your a community manager, and also the way you play, you dont see most of this stuff. It happens. I have seen it happen MANY times, myself and guildies have reported it MANY TIMES. I was never banned and plan on never doing stuff to get banned lol. Theres just too many "coincidences" and incidents I have personally seen and heard that makes my experience change.

Its as if your already trying to berate/deny my post before even typing it. Not a respectful way to comment as a Community Manager to a customer. But what does "RMT" mean ?

2.
The Accusations of Corrupt GMs seem to be extremely common tough.
I play alot of Games. And sure there is such accusations sometimes.
But its never this common of a thing in any other Games I played.
Is there a Specific Reason for this in this Game ?
How are GMs Selected anyways ?
Are these Volunteers or are they Paid Staff ?

Gm's are paid by SV. However, thats where they stop. Some are good some are bad. Leaked chat logs of their mod chat in disc prove this. RMT is real market trading, like buying in game gold for real life dollars.

As a nobody who runs this game with his small group of friends 4-6 and doesn't really engage in random player killing (RPK) I will say the times i've felt I ran into hackers is probably once and as far as GM's I have never exp any corrupt ones or situations have seen RMT done, cause they were stupid enough to talk about it out loud in-game voip. I get RMT can kill things and the game but I honestly don't care. I treat it like any other p2w game. I don't support RMT but I'm also not gonna go out of why to ♥♥♥♥♥ about it and just live with it. If they want to risk their account for it let em. Hopefully they will get better tech to find it.

The game is fun if you don't mind getting ganked every now and again and living in a harsh world. I will say I took my exps of going out of town and into sewers and other small group dungeons and did the math on my survival rate and its was a lot higher then I thought I survive about 70% of my journeys into pvp territory which to me is a big thing seeing as games like tarkov the avg survival rate is 30%

Idk man this feel like fantasy star citizen to me and is fun and has some depth but also has some shallow spots. Its not for everyone but its fun all around for most. If you come in with the understanding that toxic people exist and ♥♥♥♥ happens including hacking.
