The Game is Completely Dead at this Point

Well.... Other then the really sweaty neck beards with 10000's invested in the game, It is dead!

There are very few casual players of any kind left sadly.

Your mostly looking at 4x alt accounts running daily for a few very dedicated players.

Will updates bring people back? The updates now have no time-frame, no schedule, and no hope they will not be broken. The hype for new stuff is often destroyed on delivery because it is broken or not well planned out.

Show me what the game will be like when you ask me to pay for a sub. Don't tell me it will be magically fixed with updates coming monthly WHEN SUB COMES. I mean, how will it be any different then it already is? Hollow promises.


MO2 is moving at a extremely slow pace. This makes people want to make alts, "why not without a monthly fee". BUT they are then going to say, "OK No Alts!" and the sweaty neck beards that have supported the game now will be angry. The population will fall and they will prey of new players to "get back at SV". Same story as MO1 new skin?


MO2 - Needs to move at a faster pace and release the game and start the sub. They should be moving faster but are swamped with side projects. 70 spells in elementalism - WOW maybe a little much? Would be better after sub for that. And that before TC. and Zones.

The game has so much more to update and change coming. Big stuff that will really effect how you play. This type of uncertainty is really hard for most players on a game like MO2. Changes in Race Clades, New primaries, game fixes that make you regrind.

I mean its current population is easily playable with the old ruleset. The problem is with the new rule set you can't play in or around population centers so I would not be shocked if it did feel dead.

After they changed the rule set I tried to play, but roaming around empty fields for hours looking for fights and maybe finding 1 every 6 hours can hardly be considered playing a game. I am sure with this population it is probably better than that rate, but you also can't fight around cities where you could then so maybe not.

The worst thing about this game is the playerbase. This game is good. what they made right is so cool... imersion. atmosferic... but the game is brokem, a lot of things just dont work. a lot of bugs... flying stuff around the map... you dont need to defend this game like you defend your family... you are the one who buy it not the one making. defend your right to have a quality product that you pay. But toxicity is the core of this player base. Sad..cause this game has a lot of potential, and nothing like right now.

At first i was against monthly sub for many reasons that im not gonna go into, but then after playing a lot i realised that some people have 10 Alts .... which give them a huge advantage over people with only 1 account (tbh its almost p2w lol) with that many Alts they can craft anything in the game easily, steel blades, heavy armor, horse armor and so on and when there is a group battle event they can use all those 10 Alts to quickly respawn and get back into the battle ... so yeah at this point this game need a sub to counter the amount of Alts abuse and the crasy thing is even with a sub some of these people will pay for all their Alts sub, but i hope it will decrease the amount of Alts.

Also very important to add : we should have a way to change our ethnicity(race) without having to reroll and lose everything(unless you are in 1 of those huge ultra rich guilds with 439328i5 Alts ... waiting for you to come back and give you a little welcome back gift like 5000 cuprum 1000gold,etc lol..). the first full character respec should be free, then exponentialy increase the cost of it, maybe something like first time free, then 10% clades then 20% then 40% and so on...

Your right about the first part! The alt abuse is massive and the advantage is not even what the game idea is about. Your not really meant to have 10x accounts. I mean some will but it will greatly decrease with sub... SO much! But first they will fight like crazy to have more alts on accounts. Then fight to have stream accounts merged. Then be able to add all the stuff they have over the 10x to one account. I doubt it will work. But I expect this progression now that alt abuse is so high.

I have over 10 accounts. I log them one at a time.

Being a grown adult I don't have a problem paying a sub for all 10 accounts. If I wanted to. Especially since people who play MMOs usually commit to one game and dont have to buy other games. And most run several accounts on subscription based MMOs.

I used to play SWG and many people had several accounts with active sub. SWG is also a sandbox game.

Most people only have 2-3 accounts. They definitely won't find it hard to pay for all of them once a month. So your alt problems wont go away. Even though they do not really exist. Meaning nothing will change. Only a few kids who still go to school wont play the game if sub starts.

I think we should be able to try out as many build as we can in haven so i would make rerolling a thing of the past, give new players the opportunity to try different build, get used to the game, make mistakes and respec the character (race age included) for 5 or 10 gold and maybe cost 10-20% clades exp?, you keep your bank, inventory and invested skill points. for outside of haven i think we should be able to change 'race' for something like 20-30%(or more) clades first time and then 50% clades for second time and 80% clades for the third or four time for a full character respec. I know its something that wouldnt be easy to empliment but i think it would be a good thing to keep new players in the game.

Population is higher than its been for a long time and new patch dropping soon as well so will jump up some more.
