I can only find 8 as well. I compared against an older list from the Kickstarter demo, and it seems there used to be one in the cabinet on the upstairs landing, which is now gone.

The "new" hiding place for the (probably) last one (as far as I remember) is in a hidden compartment in Theodors room. And the object to open it is hidden in his old workshop . :)

I've gotten that one. It's the replacement of the one on the landing that I can't find.

1. On the window sill, by the music box in the open room upstairs.
2. In the grandfather clock case in the dining room.
3. Behind the centre statue in the dining room.
4. Behind the wine rack shelf door thing, billiards room.
5. In the table in the sitting room.
6. Behind the lattice doors, in the library.
7. Drawer in Theodores workshop.
8. Fireplace compartment in Theodores room.

I only got to 8 too, looking at the Spoiler list of their locations I can't seem to find the Library one but it will have to wait until the replay now because I have gone to the final Portal now!

Epic game and art - loved the painting references and finding the book titles (if they are legit?) would make a cool achievement but I guess it be too much like this one!
