might be wrong on the numbers since the developer has conquered google adsense making researching the 90s version exact numbers impossible now.
i remember when i originally found this game and started playing it i felt the demo wasn't really enough to have much fun with, it just made me want the rest after about 30 minutes and it was worth it from what i recall, like there's a lot of stuff locked away.
edit: all the stuff jimbly said is true too, game length is limited as well and no galaxy customizing.
