So are the other companies randomly assigned net worth by the computer? It seems like I should have won playing many of my games but the program wouldn't let me win...it's pissing me off and I don't want to play anymore if this is the norm.

if you play pretty much flawlessly, you should not be kicked to the curb randomly by the program.

The other players in the game are not thinking and making decisions.....the reason I'm losing interest in this game is that its totally random and your acquired skills from playing the game DO NOT help you win. Random outcomes are BS.

I have noticed them losing a few million out of the blue as well. My guess is that they invest heavely in the stock market, if that jumps or crashes they can gain alot or lose alot of money in a single turn.

you can win on master, but you really have to think carefully and use warehouses, don't pay insurance, only pay tax and crew debt when its in red (you occasionally have an event where taxes or crew wages are forgiven). don't spend to much with ship auctions or installation auctions ( especially towards the second half of the game, any installation bought will rarely get their money back, but there is two sides to this, since if you buy it, the enemy wont have it too) if you see expensive stuff on a planet where its 100% available (like exotic) fill your warehouse and sell it when its at 0% or where there is a planet that has 0%.

Yes it does, I've get the same thing happening all the time especially if you're about to win. The A.I. players even go over 30billion in the negative but than bounce back to just behind you in one or a few rounds. There's a lot of other "BUGS" that weren't in the previous versions that you could buy at various Game sites. The Steam version is really a Alpha or Beta version, that makes the game a big turn off to people who have played the previous versions & the newbies. This kind of treatment of their customers by software companies drives them to piracy or to totally abandoning them. This game since it so small should have been fixed before releasing or within a short period of time after But STILL WAITING for fix to be released. Better yet release a mobile version for Android/iOS devices with online multiplayer that will get a lot more people buying the game especially if designed for older devices so people can use their older devices for their kids & encourage them to use their brains instead of reflex games.

This game can be copied to a USB DRIVE & played one any computer,so kids can take the game to their friends & continue their game anywhere without the need to installing on multiple computers , possibly even on computer's with high restrictions on system changes as this game doesn't use registry & completely runs from its folder & saves the game's progress to its folder.
