And this game stops support Jan 1 too.
So yeah it's dead
The ending is a string of text,.....no graphics
So yeah a PDX game
and how is empire of sin a scam???? scam means something completely different, hence the user saying about the meaning of the words.
It's really not, it's the most basic TBS game anyone could have created
Sold, and continues to sell 2 DLC's. Only released one. Sounds like the meaning of scam to me?
The game is actually good, the writing is great, the music is great, and the voice acting is superb. It's on a whole other level.
The layoff's at the studio occurred MONTHS before the game actually launched. The publisher knew they had overpaid for the IP...and that they needed a great reception at launch to recover their losses, so like any publisher, they cut 80% of the staff loose. Everyone knows that payroll is the biggest expense. They probably thought that they would only need 20% of the staff for product support and patches. Who cares that Harebrained was actually a good studio.
The CEO is a moron. He probably hasn't even played it. There is a rabid fan base for turn based tactical sims. If they fixed the console issues, especially on XBox, it would actually do pretty good. Throw in PVP or endless mode, crossplay and a couple patches with some tweaks and it would be soaring.
And marketing for this was poor. I didn't know it existed until two days before it released. (And this is hands down my favorite type of game...)
I don't think they'll give up on this, but if they do, someone will pick it up and run with it, realizing that it's the sleeper(with some fixes) they've been looking for.
the game is dead. 70% of devs were fired over the summer 6 months before launch. 2 weeks after launch paradox sacked the entire studio.
game has support til jan 1st.
it is DEAD
Except the devs are only contracted to Jan 1st
