Why does this game try to launch a 3rd party launcher?

Why does this game try to launch a 3rd party launcher and why does it ask me to create some kind of account?
There is zero information about it having a 3rd party launcher, like Origins and UPlay.

I dont own the game yet- BUT an EULA?

this is in a lot of games and in all my experience Eulas are that contract-looking text we scroll down to agree/disagree. Not a launcher. Third party Eula probably means said Eula is in a publishers name not the game/title itself- like in EA, Ubisoft, Capcom etc their eulas will state the publishers, not the devs, a third party

Because the launcher can be skipped in the launch options the first time you launch the game. Just check the box that says you don't want the launcher and presto, no launcher.

also an account is not needed, unless you want to use the paradox forums.

That no longer works.
I specifically selected game (and always use) But it only works if launching from steam using (Play) button. If using added as shortcut to desktop it completely ignores that and goes for launcher

I did however manager to get it to bypass launcher with desktop shortcut and with steam overlay working.

All i did was add this to launch options in steam
"G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\LamplightersLeague\LamplightersLeague.exe" %command%

Change path to your game path ofc. Now desktop shortcut works without starting launcher.

Dude. Paradox launcher is there for every single game paradox released.
What you described only works if you launch game directly from steam by pressing green ass big Play Button OR if you are launching game from game EXE BUT then you have no steam overlay and no steam support. But doesnt work from normal steam desktop shortcut with steam overlay support (my explanation is one of the ways to get it working).
It will forcefully install paradox launcher to your pc every single time.

Just freaking read for once.

You're hilarious. I just created a shortcut from the install file "LamplightersLeague" 639 KB and ran the shortcut from desktop (with Steam running) and pressed spacebar 4 times and it took me to the play menu. A user just has to be careful not to criticize Paradox's games. The moderators will consume you with anger. This I know from personal experience.

Right click on the game in steam, Click on properties, Scroll down to launch options, and then click GAME only. Presto no launcher. Steam overlay works if it's activated on the same properties >> general page.

all paradox games also have a txt box where you can modify the launch to not use their launcher. This game does it for you with a simple click.
