What's the point of Recruitment Missions?
After 6 characters, you will always have a spare - and the time taken for recruitment missions will just make your life harder as you cross threat thresholds.

Even if that wasn't the case, you end up diluting your SP across an increasing number of less helpful characters.

It's a frustrating shame because the colorful characters and unique dialogues are really one of the only things that makes this game stand out in any way.

EDIT: To be clear, 5 characters is the absolute max I believe you can have active at one time. 3 for the main mission each week +2 safehouse missions, which appears to be the cap. The sixth character is just to have a backup in the unlikely event you fully lose a character.

Unless I'm mistaken, except for the first one, you aren't required to do any of the recruitment missions. If you are happy with your roster and don't want to recruit another character, skip the recruitment missions.

I assume that the reason there are many more characters than you "need" is to give some flexibility to give wounded or broken characters time to recover. It also allows you to pick different characters for different types of missions depending on how you want to go about completing them. If you have your three favorite characters and prefer to use them for everything, and they never get hurt or break, then you may not need spare characters.

Some characters are more specialized than others. The Alexandrite for example is invaluable against Marteau's undeads, especially the shades, thanks to their fire mastery. However, against Sturm's fire immune mummies, their usefulness plummets hard, so it's interesting to use someone else for those missions.

you can send your extra chars on recon/search missions. the more extra d00ds you have the more of those you can do in a week (though after a time there are less of those to do of course)

Extra member help search safe house for more loots per week.
I think this is a worth well long term investment

You'll definitely want at least 3 people besides your main team to do searches and expeditions each week and to serve as backup when your mains are down and out.

I do think that getting all 10 or whatever agents does seem kind of pointless, and that's a shame. It would have been nice if each character brought more unique assets or abilities to the table even if they're benched. Or better yet, let us run more than one mission per week.

If I were to have a long war style mod for this game I would make injuries MUCH more common so you were forced to swap characters more, and also have it so a character who is not assigned to a mission passively generates a single upgrade for themselves among the available boxes. This encourages larger rosters and makes the agents you “never use” level up faster so you might want/need to try them.

But this would be a big change and likely require balancing elsewhere as well,

Depending on your playstyle, and whether you're getting a lot of Broken Cards or Wounded (or Lost) Agents -- yeah, 5 or 6 agents is really all you need to complete a playthrough with enough flexibility to do search missions, etc. -- Some players can certainly get away with fewer, but having more does have diminishing returns (especially spending any skill points on more than 4 agents). -- On a second playthrough, consider doing a Custom Game and choosing 4 starting agents that you haven't played with yet.

Hi, I wanna ask you, I am able to complete full achievement I can't recruit 11 agent. I've have week 45. She doesn't show. It's possible to recruit last on agents (11) or I've to start new game and disable DLC ?
