My "issue" isn't the character available, like you said you guys offer a lage panel in that league and im sure lot of them will be very nice to have along.
But it's not "me".
The league characters got their own look, personality and agenda... And while in some short action game it doesn't bother me to play a character that already has some established life, in a RPG it doesn't works for me.
A really good character creator can be half the game.
No matter how good the game is, I didn't baought Disco Elysum because of this.
No character creator - almost zero chance I will buy - lost sale
Exactly correct - which is why I will probably not buy
Thanks. That at least explains why people would call this an RPG, considering that every bit of info we have is very clear that this game is far more BattleTech-style than Shaodwrun Trilogy-style.
Anyway, this isn't the rules, this is the exception... Why you didn't picked Elex as exemple instead?
Ultimatly it's their loss, Since Cyberpunk 2077 totaly failed at delivering a proper RPG i was expecting a new Shadowrun from Harebrained.
So nevermind I will be busy with BG3 and RogueTrader.
Ok, have fun. It's probably not that much of a loss.
Exactly, Dungeons of Nahuelbeuk is very similar, you have a squad of pre-mades, the old game super hero game freedom force or the more modern Omerta are all oth prime examples of RPG's in this style.
Personally i can play a game and enjoy it if i make the avatar or not. But lets be real, there are very few Real RPG's where you can play yourself. Starwars galaxies is the closest thing i can think of where you are the character, It's a complete sandbox, you never have to fire a weapon or fly a ship or basically anything, it's even deeper than EVE which is another one, but it's all ship oriented so if your self wants to live on a planet and play junk dealer in a cantina that isn't really an option unless i'm missing something. In SWG You could be everything from a scrap peddler, to a miner, to a bounty hunter, dance, be a doc, the options were endless. RP'n with others and get deep into things and that was only because there were other players you could do that with.
Mass effect and baldur's gate and those style games your not playing yourself,.. Your playing the hero they designate and it just happens to have some character modifications you can do to them, your still going down a directed path.
But hey if OP wants to pass because they can't customize the avatar, ok.. everyone has their own thing right?
