We are currently investigating startup crashes occurring both when launching the game from Steam and from within the game itself.

For us to be able to solve this we need some help from you:

1. Make sure the game is updated to the latest version
2. Start the game (to generate the crash reports)
3. Collect all crash reports from the specified directories below and compile them into a single ZIP archive. To access the folders you need to show hidden items - In File Explorer, go to View > Show > Hidden items

Crash reports to include:
C:\Users\yourUserName\AppData\Local\CrashDumps (only Teardown related crashes)
C:\Users\yourUserName\AppData\Local\Teardown\crash (latest generated folder, check time stamp)
C:\Users\yourUserName\AppData\Local\Teardown (log.txt file)

Also generate a DxDiag file (computer specifications text file):
- Press windowskey-R
- Type dxdiag
- Hit enter
- Let the program finish (green progress bar in lower left)
- Click the "Save all information" button

4. Name the folder either crashStartupSteam or crashStartupIngame, depending on when the crash occurs. Once zipped, upload the file to this related GitHub issue: https://github.com/Teardown-Issue-Tracker-Maintainers/Teardown-Issue-Tracker/issues/705

hey, i have some problem too, but the game starts normally.
The thing is, it starts to drop from (normally 60 fps) to 30, and it just stays like that. Nothing more i can do to stop that, it started recently and i changed from betas to betas and even uninstalled every single addon i had, nothing worked and it stayed the same even clearing cache.
sorry if its too much cuz it seems you're working too hard, but thanks for helping us!!

I had this as well when I first got the game. I tried everything, nothing worked, until I just rebooted my computer, then it has worked fine ever since.

Ya... no idea why.
