Controller Support?

The game store page and information says it has controller support, when i get in game there is a section in inputs for a controller and from what i have read controller support has been added to the game. However, my XBox controller is not detected and I can only find posts about using steam configs for controller support. That isn't native controller support, that is just mapping a Kb/M to the controller, so where is the native support this game supposedly has?

I have an Xbox One S controller. The actual Xbox version. It just comes up as not detected unless I use Steam Input which, like I said, isn't controller support.

Curious about this as well, since I have seen so many reports of controller support not really being "Full"

That's what I am saying, I have seen a bunch of posts about using the steam input override, but none about the actual in game support advertised.

No, we mean the Steam Settings. Click on Teardown in the Steam Library and navigate to the Controller Settings. There, ensure that you have everything set to the default settings. Let us know if this works.

When I set the Steam Settings for the game to default it just turns on Steam Input, it doesn't turn on any in game controller support.

For reference and for anyone else who may google this issue and be trying to find a resolution. The support team helped me out and for some reason if you set the Steam Input configuration to the Tuxedo Labs one and then apply the template it does indeed enable an in game controller support. It seems full from the 5-10 mins I played around with it.
