COUNTERPOINT: Saber is good, but appearently not?

I come from a little known game called Snowrunner. The previous Snowrunner is Mudrunner, and before that was the reason why im on steam today, Spintires. Spintires was made by a dude named Pavel. Just some russian guy making a game about things he loved.

Short story short, the publisher decided to do some shenanigens, witholding funds from pavel so pavel put time bombs in the game so NOBODY could enjoy it. Then saber came along, hired up Pavel, and then made Mudrunner. A true, heartfelt sequel to Spintires. I loved Mudrunner. Then they made Snowrunner, which took Mudrunner and "expanded it," in the way of completely reworking the game, which turned out to make a hell of a game. Snowrunner is really cool. Yes, there is DLCs. I know there is alot of problems with Teardown now. Sure, that may be a big problem.

But let me bring a thing up here: Tuxedo labs still exists. Yes, they may be under Saber's control, but they still exists. Now, with big company, comes need to please investors. Blame the investors. The investors desire PROFIT. How do you make profit with video game? Well, theres 2 ways: Make many many many sequels, or DLC.

Now, ill admit, Teardown is not a game that works well with DLC. But with saber coming in, expect some more DLC. I know Saber will fix the bugs, they will get to it, trust me! But everything comes with patience. I come from a land where saber is good, so ill take this as evidence that mayhaps saber should spend time on developing new games, keep on with Snowrunner and Mudrunner. Ill bring this all together with a point: Sometimes good things should be left alone.

Also there are technically three ways to make the sweet sweet green numbers in the video game industry. The ones you mentioned and the act of having the amount of money earned by the game be more than the cost of development.

I didnt list that method (make good game, provide many good updates, make money from providing good game) but sadly every company desires more money, and nothing makes more money than DLC or sequels

Well, for PC games that's the case, but for the mobile cellular telephone demographic, that's a different story.

That response saber just gave is 100% a copy+paste text. Soley because Saber does not care to mention anything else in the post i made im now changing my stance to that i support a Teardown with saber interactive. I feel let down...

No, it is not.
I checked it's post history and that phrase does not come up anywhere else, which means it's probably just someone that's being paid to do this. (or a bot, those are getting really good nowathese days)

I checked it's post history and that phrase does not come up anywhere else, which means it's probably just someone that's being paid to do this. (or a bot, those are getting really good nowathese days)

just feels like an inadequate response, right? i would think i would get something better than that if saber ever would care.

Well, I'm pretty sure it's just some PR person or something like that.

Saber is definetly a meh tier Publisher (but there are way worse ones) but being MAD at Saber for selling out on them is not their fault. if you want to hate someone hate your beloved indie devs who sell themselves to saber.

Saber is good at making spintires like games though. they did a great job on mudrunner and snowrunner.
