wont start

get a cmd window, then it closes and game stops running.... tried uninstalling, re, cleared appdata and documents and verified files. tried admin steam launch, admin exe launch, just opens a cmd window for 10 seconds then closes. helpo

to fix the start problem, i needed to delete the game and reinstall it, game will crash with normal proton, i use proton experimental, it works :)

ive tried all of the above and nothing seems to work.

Would having my index plugged in affect it? cause i've already disconnected my wheel. ive tried un in and re installing, twice, un in and re installing steam, tried run as admin, tried deleting the appdata local tear down folder. tried editing the option.xml from another pc that does run it... all i can get is a blacksystem32/cmd window.

best i can do is changing the options.xml, that will make the cmd box appear or not run at all...

i give up, never had an issue playing this game before. they update it, now its ruined and I'm suppose to do all this crap to make it work again... how about i just uninstall. Can I have a refund now? since you guys ruined what i already pay for.

In a setup Laptop + TV, I need to have both screens activated in Windows10, in order to play in the TV
Disabling the laptop screen (in Windows10) makes my TV have the index 1 in Teardown, and it will load the game but always freeze loading any level.
When it freezes using "Ctrl+Alt+Del" unfreeze the loading process

If you didn't buy the DLC.
The previous version is now available for download in the beta section.
-In the Steam library, right click on "Teardown", select "Properties", go to the "Betas" section and select (prev_build - Version 1.4)

If you purchased the DLC:
-Try using the version (experimental - The latest features and fixes), it may be updated sooner.

If you want to downgrade to 1.4 anyway, make a backup of your savegame.
-Press "Win + R" and type %AppData%
-Go to the directory C:\Users\YOUR-USER\AppData\Local
-Copy the "Teardown" folder to your desktop.

If you go into the settings you can change to the beta and play on the 1.4 release. That is the only thing that has worked for me since this stupid update

this also works for me, game starts right up on old version. switched back and get the stupid cmd window again.

I bought for my son and he was very excited. This game feels like a scam. Youtube videos looks exciting but after you pay, download and launch, nothing happens? Might make a youtube video myself with how I just got scammed. Buyer beware, not a real game in my opinion. Devs just took my money and I got nothing. Let me know if I should refund this coz I just bought it right now. Is this a real game/
