How do I move the giant vehicle parts in the river?
In the mission where you need to get the giant reinforced vehicle parts in the truck, I don't know what my options are to move them around, other than getting them attached to a crane.
They're attached to boats, but they're all facing the wrong way, and even then, they can't reach the truck close enough.

if its the one with the vehicle stuck on the ice just try and use cable and a beefy car to tow the ice straight into the side wall and then plank weld it, repeat with a plank ramp to lever the entire armored vehicle out

I used the boats? Cut the cables, turn the boat around and attach it to the other side of the rafts with your own cables. Move the parts up the river until you're close to the truck and move the last few meters with the big crane. The snow on the water does not damage boats so you realy only need to be careful for other debris.

This mission was slightly easier in the early access, but the only difference was that the boats were facing the opposite direction. Though it'll obviously be slightly harder now as a result, I'd say the same solvepath should be more or less effective.

First off, preparation: You'll want to clear out most of the little brick wall that's near your truck, and maybe some of the garage as well. Bring over a heavy duty vehicle—I used the mega forklift that can be found directly west of your starting position, in the railway warehouse area.

Find a way to turn the first boat around, likely by severing the cables with your pistol and repositioning, then reattach the cables and drag the truck part to the shore near your truck. Remember to clear out the trees that have fallen into the river before you do this though.

Once you have it close, quicksave. Bring the forklift over to the shore and attach the prongs to the truck part with cables. Remember to cut the cables that are attaching the truck to the platform.

With some finicking you should be able to haul the truck up onto the ground, and then drag it (albeit somewhat messily) over to the collection circle. Attempt to keep the forklift in good condition because you'll need it again, although you can try to use some of the other vehicles if need be.

Once you've collected the truck part, quicksave, and then do the same thing for the other truck part.

For the tires, what I did was I didn't even bother bringing the boat over (although in early access the platform was positioned in a more convenient part of the river, the north-south section near where the platform is now; You may need to move it a bit before you can proceed). I used a crane to pick them up and place them in the back of a snowplow (plus a bunch of cables just in case they fell out), then drove them to the escape vehicle. The tires are just barely light enough that you can drag them, so you shouldn't have to worry about getting them back out of the vehicle.

Final piece of advice: Cables are INCREDIBLY useful here. If you place one end of a cable on the floating platform, then stretch it just before it turns into a dotted line, and place the other end on the ground—The cable will pull the platform up towards the shore without snapping! They're actually super resilient. Use this to your advantage. "Cable dragging" is an incredibly useful strategy for moving heavy objects, although it can only go so far at a time and requires quite a few cables to go more than a few meters.

Good luck! (And remember, anyone who says you need a mod to beat a mission just isn't patient or creative enough to do it themselves ;) )

For my part, clearing enough ice to move boats and bring back the big crane infront of the truck.Spend time to clear the ice but less complication.
Unless they changed something, I just used the large crane after using the torch to cut the parts free. The trick is that it has two driver's seats. One to drive it around, the other to fully control the crane (including dropping the outriggers).

clear the ice, carefully drag the pieces, then use cables

Oh so i do remember it correctly..they used to face other direction!
Well to be honest giant crane(upper part is indestructible) with drivable cabine do a better job then towing stuff down the river
