AWFUL LAG PROBLEM

This started maybe a month ago, not too sure.
For some reason my game became extremely laggy like 12 fps to my usual 100 or something, uninstalled all mods, validated files then reinstalled game, my drivers were up to date and so was windows. recently installed new windows update and graphic driver update still laggy as anything.

Laptop specs:
2060 RTX
i7-10750H CPU
16 GB RAM
Windows 11

That sounds like an extreme fps drop, it's not some like having forgotten to connect the power cable?

Nope, power cable is all good, all set to performance mode. I'm not sure to what I can do, as the most obvious reason would be workshop mods lagging my game, but I tried disable them and then uninstall completely and yet still problems even on the lowest settings on a sandbox map it's still like 15 fps (25 if I look into the sky)

I think I do, I'll try disabling them but I also tried playing on the experimental version which worked but still not my old performance, only like 35 fps

Do you know what version you were playing when you got the old good performance?

Well I started getting the lag shortly after the robot AI update but I'm not too sure

check your resolution, make sure its set to 1920x1080 not 3840x2160

There shouldn't have been any updates regarding performance in that update and since I'm not sure what to check next checking the resolution and hope that's the case as One Red Pube above suggests is an easy next step.

It's fixed itself I guess? the performance is pretty good now even tho I didn't change anything. Must just be my laptop messing up, thank you for the help

I also had this problem. What I did to fix it was clear up storage on my pc. I deleted an app taking up 78 GB, and boom. Teardown goes from 20-30 fps to 120.
