Intense Motion Sickness! :/
Well I love this game and it's ideas, very glad I bought it.
But boy, have got the most intense motion sickness ever from a game!
Had to stop twice.
Now I have turned all the things like head bob and FOV off and up and got the frame rate as fast as I can, and it's better, but it's still not brilliant.
I have seen other posts saying the same thing, but I just wanted to get another post up because it really is extreme for me.
Normally I would have refunded, but I really really like this games style and want to stick with it.
PLEASE Devs, I'm sure there is something that can be done....isn't there?

I'm having the same issue. I've been playing FPS games for almost 20 years, including a bunch of VR gaming the past few years. Literally no game I've ever played has made me feel nauseous until this one.
I can't pin down exactly why, but even after disabling all the ingame things, this game is unplayable for me. I ended up refunding it despite loving the game concept because I really don't feel like this is an issue that can be fixed easily.

Hi there thanks for posting.
Yea it's the most extreme i've ever had, I went a nice see thru yellow colour.
Maybe a 3rd person view would do it.
Came here to see if anyone else was experiencing this. I've tried reducing some of the FX, but I'm still feeling it pretty quickly. I know with other games in the past, adding a more obvious set of crosshairs helps alleviate the sickness. Devs could easily add a large crosshair. I also think the way the character moves has something to do with it. There's a lean to the camera in the direction of your motion that might be adding to the problem.

I also am experiencing this. I turned off head bob, tunnel vision (or whatever it's called), and motion blur and it's not causing me to have motion sickness anymore.

Ok so ive done some tweaking and I have set the graphics to low, fov to about 90, and most importantly Mouse Smoothing off. Played an hour and only got slightly ill, playable at least.
Rodriguez I think your right, it's the camera movement, it's got a moon gravity slide to it, make it feel like your always moving.
Well I think that's something that can be changed in the engine surely.

I am playing with the following settings with no issues so far: Render Scale 75%, Field of view 120 (though I am playing on ultrawide), Depth of Field disabled, barrel distortion enabled, motion blur enabled, smoothing off, head bob off, and mouse sensitivity very, very low.

I've just had to request a refund for this. After 40 minutes of playing, we had to switch it off due to ridiculous motion sickness. Very strange.

Yeah the motion is definitely different than a lot of games, it's kinda "fluid" and has a lot of momentum effects. I totally understand that for some people that might cause motion sickness. For me personally it's fine, but given some of my previous VR experience, I don't seem to be susceptible to motion sickness from games.

It's the wobbly camera, I imagine the character is just some kinda jelly creature because people don't move like that lol

Motion blur can be turned off, so if its that and you ain't turned it off then, ya probly should lmao

Motion sickness is caused by a disconnect from what the brain expects from its senses and what it actually gets.

So, turning FOV up is not going to help, we do not naturally see through a fish-eye lens! lol

This game uses software raytracing so slower systems will create an image each frame that initially has blurred textures due to the raytracing not having done enough yet. In a motionless view it will resolve over a second or two to an acceptable level. Our minds do not expect to see details that start blurred and resolve into detail. Even in faster systems where the resolve is under a second your mind will still notice the blur when you move.

This is a design fault in the game. The raytracing should be optional. Better still, it should use hardware if it's available on the system! I know the developer used software rendering only to make it more universal which is a good idea in general but with raytracing you do need all the hardware help you can get.
