Weird keyboard behavior

Basically the game does not respond to normal keyboard events except "esc" which calls the pause menu. Besides that, any key press does not work unless you have a mouse button pressed before.
It may sound confusing but let me give an example.
So let's assume i want to move forward, which is by default, pressing W. However, this does not work in my case. You have to hold the left/right mouse key first, then press W, and the player moves forward. It applies to every other interactions, including jumping, picking up, and etc, except "esc".
This is so weird and I don't think it's a designed feature, so could anyone tell me how to fix this bug?
Btw, the game's running on win 20H2 19042.985, with 10900k+3080+32g ram

This is most interesting bug I have ever encountered.

"20H2 19042.985" - that was the windows version if I recall correctly.
What kind of keyboard are you using? Mechanical? Membraine? Optical (ok I doubt that but it is a possibility....)
If you happen to have a driver on your keyboard - have you tried removing it, to test whether its no weird bug caused by the communication between your driver and the game?
Have you tried to validate the internal files?
Are you using any kind of mod?

1. Membrane and bluetooth
2. Yes, i do have one. i'll try to remove it and see what will happen. But it does not have this bug in any other game. ///UPDATE: just tried, bug still exists after uninstalled the driver
3. Tried, valid.
4. No mods
5. Btw, i'm also playing the latest version of the game

This sure does sound odd, have you tried running the game in full screen/windowed full screen/windowed and in that case do you get the same result?
