continuous lag after destroying large structure
The game still lags even after the debris settles. In fact there doesn't have to be much debris at all, it'll lag when I simply dislodge a large section of building like it's calculating every voxel rather than recognising the building as a single structure/large component.

Smoke and fire seems to be the problem. When i was messing around bombing my safehouse with mods, the game dipped into the 10s fps and stuck there when the environment caught on fire even after the fire is extinguished. It went back to 140+fps when i reset the level though. Imo fire is one of the less visually impressive elements in the game (but its still impressive non the less since everything in the game is looking great), but its the heaviest on performance. Im running the game on 3070 and game is installed on SSD.

a fix i found was to turn sync off in the display settings in the game, it helped me but it obs created screen tearing

the options are
-disabled
-vsync
-every frame
-every other frame
ALL except disabled make the game lag, it must be because the added latency of the option when enabled that causes some interference between the game trying to run/calculate and the information getting to the screen

Pc user getting mad because he can't handle a little lag and people are suggesting an upgrade as a solution XD.

Well to be fair, Teardown is currently only available on PCs.
(Don't say that the Steam Deck isn't a PC, it's close enough.)

It's Valve's portable gaming device that's basically* a PC.

the problem is that its still calculating physics, you could code a mod that anchors (or freezes) the debris until you pick it up but that could have some interesting side effects

I'm running a Ryzen 7 5800x and rtx3060 and I still get into the low 10s when I blow lots of stuff up. Especially in the downtown map.

Consider upgrading your rig, there's only so much optimization can do for that hardware.
