Thats what the devs pointed out in the faq
But this is not how voxels work in general.
If i understand this blog post about the spraycan[blog.tuxedolabs.com] right (and there's a good chance i don't), modifying the color should be possible. You just can't have 2 different colors for the spraycan at the same time.
"uh no" it's not an "art style" it's a limitation. The only reason for using voxels here is for destruction - the "art style" comes second and with it the limitations from using voxels.
This game sure lives rent free in your head. It might be time to move on, instead of digging ever deeper into misinformed criticism by hijacking threads, that have nothing to do with your personal vendetta.
