Buildings don't fall when they're clearly floating and detached from everything.
I can completely detach the top half of a building and it won't fall. I made sure not a single voxel was touching another and it still wont fall. It also makes the frame rate drop to single figures.

I've had this happen a few times. I think its just usually too large of a piece. if you split it down the middle or into 3 parts it'll usually fall. Not sure if there's some hard cap on maximum voxels for a dynamic piece or what.

Yeh same here. I highly suspect it will be something thats fixed in a few months once the dev's have had the time to further optimise the physics engine/rendering. Im hoping the same will happen to relative weight of structures.... i.e when I take down a massive brick tower and it falls 40ft , it doesnt crumble when it hits the ground. Disappointing but I'm not judging as I know its early access and I've got full faith in the devs to fine tune stuff like this in later updates.

can i just say that i am a huge fan of your outlook and positivity? Everyone else in these forums are not cutting the dev any kind of slack, despite it being clearly in early access.

Its actually not size related, some buildings have objects or fixtured that are fixed in place and seem to make them float with them unless destroyed too, tested on lees factory level with concrete tower behind main factory, somehing on or behind the desk at the top of the stairs held the tower up till i shot it.

At the mansion, if you detach the billiard room from the rest of the mansion and disconnect it from the indestructible plate holding it up, it'll still float too. I got it to fall eventually, I think it's the light fixtures.

The lighthouse on the island did this too until I shot the light on the ground floor. I think certain swinging objects are locked in place until interacted with and this causes anything anchored to them to not update.

its because of the chunks, cant be fixed, just shoot with the pistol or shotgun and it will fall down
In the level with the race track, the three story building doesn't fall. And yet the two story building on struts can fall. I don't mind really, no physics engine is perfect. Not to mention the games physics are more about creating paths to where you want to go rather then everything being super realistic. If I recall the dev(s) did mention they have it setup that way for a reason.

Thanks haha, I try.... used to get really worked up about games but in advancing years I've tried to just research and understand what Im getting into so that way my expectations arent too high and Im not disappointed. I think off level expectations are a big part of why some EA games get potentially unfair hate.
