1.) Open the Steam\steamapps\common\Teardown\data\script\heist.lua file in any editor
2.) Change line 20 which looks like this: SetFloat("level.alarmtimer", 60) - Replace the 60 seconds with any amount of seconds you like for the heist missions.
Have fun!
the time limit should have a difficulty setting, 60 secounds is enough for you to get a nice speedrunner feeling, but i have to say, that it is not easy in some levels.
You're right, he didn't, because he wasn't even the topic creator. How dare he?
It's a sandbox game with destruction physics, stop worrying my dude.
I'm sure everything in this thread will be considered, if not by them then by the hopefully eventual release of mod tools.
This.
The game should be played in a way YOU like. And thats another way for each on of us. The developers made a great game and they hope we have fun playing it regardless how we play it.
PLUS: We bought the game ^^ so the devs are double happy :)

Imagine thinking you're better than someone else because you play a videogame with a timer.
Get over yourself.
If you think anyone in this thread is mad you should probably work on your reading comprehension skills.
Also you should probably entertain the idea that removing timers will not make the game boring for some people because they bought the game for a different reason than you did.
The game was always meant as a sandbox to showcase a particular technology. The puzzle aspect came as an afterthought, and it turns out that some people don't enjoy it.
This.
I think maybe there should be a difficulty setting however, so if you pick "Beginner" you shouldn't steal so many cars to complete the mission, have more time etc.
That car wash one IS tricky though and took quite a while to pull off and lots and lots of retrys optimizing every step along the way.
Where would the challenge be for those missions if there wasn't a timer? i like the timer missions the most. You have to really plan and prep your path around the map. Make use of the spraypaint. And don't forget to be cheeky where you can. Some of objectives can be completed without sounding the alarm if you a clever.
You have to be clever in the timer maps, you must plan everything before you grab your first objective.
