Audio is very choppy
I have a 2070, ryzen 9 3950xt, and 32 gb of ram.
Someone help, i've turned down audio, graphics, overclocked, underclocked, i just dont know why the audio is behaving this way.

Do you use voicemeeter? It causes this for some people it seems.

Yes, i will try to change it later, thank you for the response man.

Same problem here. I use Voicemeeter for streaming, I have no problem with other games.

I get very stuttery audio too. I'm not using voicemeeter. I am using a USB soundcard - Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.

edit: Upping the buffer size from 128 to 256 samples fixes it. (I've never had to use this kind of workaround for a game before.)

Thank you for reporting, and updating with the fix. I also have a Scarlet 2i2, but I never use it for gaming. Will experiment and see what I can come up with.

I'm using Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 too and the audio starts stuttering at some point. I switched Sample Rate from 44100 to 48000 and I think it was normal for some time then it started stuttering again.

This is only a fix if you have audio running through voicemeter. Doesn't help if the game's audio still can't figure out where it's being pushed through and is silent.

Ya same issue for me as well with 3700x, 32gb Ram, 2070super. I also run Voicemeter.

I just changed my Scarlett 18i8's audio bit depth from 24 bit to 16 bit (under Advanced in the device properties window) and the crackling audio disappeared. Hope that helps!

I have a Xonar U5 USB soundcard and the sound is muted after a few minutes of play, I tried to change the bit depth from 24 bits to 16 bits (from the "ASIO control panel") but it doesn't fix the problem.

yep switching default device away from voicemeeter worked for me

I also get crackling sound and I have no idea what "voicemeeter" is :steamsad:

Did you try the experimental branch? We did some audio improvements there to hopefully rectify this issue.
