Does this game ever go on Sale?

It got on sale few time before like 35% off. I guess it will be on sale again like on black friday/cyber monday, or during winter sale.

You missed the XSEED Publisher Sale, where this game and its DLC were going for 50% off if I'm not mistaken. Maybe Black Friday or the Winter Sale will give you a bit of luck if you still wish to pick it up...

Also, aside from the dwindling player base (which saw a slight resurgence thanks to the recent sale and the announcement of the game's sequel in September, during the game's 2nd Anniversary stream), there's another particularly pressing reason why this PC version isn't as popular: It's a LOT harder to find games thanks to the fact that the game's matchmaking system locks anyone out who isn't in the same download region as you are. While this can be changed in your settings, there's no fix for anyone you can't contact. As such, you're kinda forced to join communities like, say, the fan Discord server for this game in order to find people to play with properly on this platform.

This game's install base is more active on Nintendo Switch as that version of the game doesn't have this matchmaking issue, and of course, it was also released there first. Owning both, I'm able to lessen the burden in terms of finding random people to match up with as I can simply play my NSW copy, and then if I want to play with people on Steam I'll just go to the Discord server so I can find people.
