In addition theres a guide by Scourge that talks a bit about stats.
"Defense" is what resists untyped damage. You know how most guns have "damage" and "bullet damage"? "Defense" resists "Damage," "Bullet Defense" resists "Bullet Damage," "Laser Defense" resists "Laser Damage."
Fire Rate Support is "how fast the gun shoots," but that only applies to fully automatic weapons like assault rifles, machine guns, and lasers. "Shot Delay Support" is for semi-automatic weapons, such as bazookas and sniper rifles. I am unsure how either of those stats interacts with charge lasers, if at all, but given how those work, you aren't going to be rapid-firing them anyway.
It's a baffling that they would omit such vital information to a player. Not even an in game glossary for you to read up on. I can't tell if it's (terrible) intentional design or an oversight due to time/budget restraints.
I never found a guide for the things I was looking for, but I've played a significant amount of time, and i've got a pretty good grasp on what to look for when making a build- If you want some help, I'll be happy to lend you a hand.
it kinda like weight limit for you to carry you can overlimit it but it will drastic decrease your performance mostly to lockon speed
arm
fire rate - rifle,handgun
shot delay - shot gun
reload - bazooka
precision - machine gun
throwing - grenade
choose your play style air or ground ( mostly you fly more than land) but whatever more hp/def is the best
fly - body with good flight speed and boost time then look at leg with low landing time or good knockback recovery you don't need anything else from it
ground - look for the leg that has good land speed or good land boost stm efficiency don't need to care about boost speed from body it only use that stats when you are active flight mode
weapon
ballistic - look at optimal range you get double damage( triple for hand gun ) when you shoot at its range
energy - you just need propellant tank then you're good to go
melee - suck until you get sword from explore2(online)
