underwhelming sound effects

Dont get me wrong I love the game, but the sound effects are, as in the title, underwhelming. The machine gun fries at 1100 rpm but the sound effect plays a 400 rpm repeat. Most guns sound very flimsy, no oomf to the powerful revolver like handguns, the single chamber snipers. The melee weapons dont feel very strong, just clanging hollow metal. The lasers all share the same high pitched tone.

You get the gist. Now that I'm done complaining, I ask, is there a solution to all this? A hidden mod forum somewhere where I can download a new soundpack? Perhaps the devs will see this and might consider working on it?

It's especially painful when MGs and ARs sound exactly the same, despite having drastically different fire rates.
