Open Letter to PersonaeGame Studio

I am writing to you as an ardent fan of Blackthorn Arena, an incredibly original game that has captured my imagination unlike anything else in the current gaming landscape. The uniqueness of your work sets you apart and I firmly believe that it could become the cornerstone of an important niche in the gaming industry.

I've recently found this game and the plans to launch as an open-world RPG. It's an ambitious undertaking, no doubt, but also one that a multitude of other studios are embarking upon every year. From a strategic and financial standpoint, and considering the fledgling community that you've established, it's unclear to me why you would want to divert your resources and focus in this direction.

I feel confident that I am not alone in my sentiments.

Instead, I encourage you to maintain your investment in Blackthorn Arena. Even if your team is not vast, the community would appreciate regular, incremental updates that bring about improvements and fixes. This way, your game can grow in tandem with your community.

Moreover, I implore you not to abandon Blackthorn Arena. I believe in the potential of this game, and I know others will too. If they see that the game continues to be nurtured, they will stand by you and your community will continue to expand.

I also believe that your community would rally behind your efforts to secure financial support. As a smaller game developer, it's reasonable to ask for help. Launching campaigns on platforms like Patreon or Kickstarter might initially seem insignificant, but they could create a substantial financial impact over time. If players know that their contributions will directly contribute to the continued development of Blackthorn Arena, I am certain they will offer their support, I will.

Lastly, if this project you're currently undertaking was designed as a new Blackthorn Arena DLC, it would be a truly amazing development. Why not introduce the open-world element within the existing Blackthorn universe? Based on the assets, UI, and systems I've seen in the demo, it feels like a natural evolution of the game we love. It makes much more sense to me than developing a new RPG that might struggle to differentiate itself in an already crowded marketplace.

In conclusion, I write to you as a passionate Blackthorn Arena gamer. I see great potential in the game and believe that, with some added attention, care, continuous small updates and support, it can truly thrive. And at the end of the day, even if you decide to proceed with your new project, I urge you not to abandon Blackthorn Arena.

It gives me the same vibe as Blackthorn Arena so far, so I assume it's maybe an expanded version of the prequel with similar mechanics and a vast world map.

It's a different concept entirely. Blackthorn Arena is a Gladiator Management game, while Bannerlord is an open world sandbox. In Blackthorn you only have gladiators that fight for you and you go to different arenas and winning the game to gain fame and money to upgrade your gladiators.

Thanks Ketaros!! You might me correct but as we have already done this far i think at least we will give Age of Reforging a try, but we will not give up on blackthorn arena and we would like to improve it.
