Bugged Quests:
Im having fun but sometimes I cant tell if this game is just broken.

1. The Quest "Disappeared young villagers seems stuck. Im at Desolate Fort, didn´t pay the 2 Gold, searched for Catus Group and killed him. Now I cant progress the Quest. There are no Dialog-options to chose from when I talk to the noble woman.

2. The mainquest seems also broken after I found a place for the refugees in the forest (woodcutter site). I cleared the place in the forest and talked to garold. Everything seemed fine. The old refugee camp is empty. Garlod is back in Brea and Martina is now a permanent compagnion. Did I miss something?

It´s kind of a good game but it´s clunky as hell.

Anyone some ideas for good builds?

In my Desolate Fort there is no one for me to talk too. So it is bugged there. There are 3 people with no name that cant be clicked in the main room. I am assuming one of them is suppose to be named NPC so I can continue the quest.

I like mainchar as an Elf. The easiest start is to setup as Gifted and probably Ice Magic. But they all are pretty good Magic Schools to start except White/Healing just because there is No Shield Option. Shield and a summons is like 1st two things you need.

But the mainchar will always be gifted no matter what you just have to talk to head mage in the Mage Tower. So you can even be a peasant and head straight to tower to unlock magic you will just have to buy your starting magic school book.

I know early game you are given the bard, ronin, and mage books to unlock those classes. I havent found any other classes except on kidnapping and recruiting mages.

Love Herbalist and Necromancers. I rather pay 2 weekly wages for them and use Phoebe as my 4th Magic user. I didnt like the 2nd Mage NPC just because the 1st thing I did was capture the Herbalist NPC and Earth and Forrest Magic are pretty great if you get 1 elemental shield. Forrest Summons is a heal bot. Which can heal all your summons.

If you enslave a necromancer the ones I find actually have 2 levels in a 5th level spell slot even though a human cant add it. I think Necro has 4 summons just in its School. I added electric to that guy cause I had 2 electric legendary staffs. That gave him the Shock Shield and 5th summons.
In the Desolate Fort you have to climb the stairs to the very top (there's something like 5 floors) to find the NPC to talk to. That said it is one of the less completed areas, with NPCs you can't talk to and containers you can't loot. I was able to complete the quest by killing Catus. I'm not sure what happened with the OP. @Termitenprinz: did you kill Catus or render him unconscious? It shouldn't make a difference, but it seems like something that could break the quest.

As for good builds, I think the Battle Monk with the Dark magic shield (doesn't drain MP) and either unarmed with Rock Fists (from Earth), two-handed with Charged Weapons (from lightning, gives an attack speed bonus) or Dual with Frost Weapon (from Ice, freezes target on hit) are the best. Battle Monk's ability to use Int and Willpower as combat stats is just insanely good. Since the summons are in the second nodes of Earth, Dark, Ice and Lightning, I take two elementals on this type of character.

You get Battle Monk in the Miasma Swamp region South-East of Brea (the quest starts with a Merchant request in Solastella). Earth (as well as Forest and Shapeshifter) are unlocked in the Cridhe Highlands, north of Stirrup. Both of the areas are kind of tough (Cridhe a bit tougher than the Swamp).

For a non-mage, I think a heavy armor character with Defender and Commander? Commander is hard to take on a mage (while offering some unique buffs) and the mana penalties from heavy armor can be severe.

If you want to try offensive casting, I recommend Ice. it has good damage and some CC built into its spells.

I haven't really played around with the Spirit or Shapeshifter schools. So I can't comment on those.
Maybe you were unlucky idk. For me the quest worked. I tried once to persuade her and paid only 1 gold and than I reloaded because I thought I could get the gear of gladiators.

After killing Catus I talked to the noble girl and everything is fine. I got some cheap belt and no law or good increase to my knowledge for all the trouble at end lul.

In my current game I did manage to move the refugees to the woodcamp, they're there doing their little things, but since I asked to dryad to leave and promised villager will be nice well now I can't seem to be able to complete the quest where you need to heal the tree in green town because you need the Dryad for it...

Can you tell me if earth magic is a special quest to unlock? Thanks!
For the quest Disappeared young villagers , I think bug happens when you try to bargain and you fail, and game marks it as success in the journal, without completing the quest.

So if someone runs into similar situation, you have to reload before you talked to the women, and choose option without barganing, and check journal if you got both options available.
