The developers may want to force players to think before they can play the most powerful and easy classes ...
Any pointers for legendary or just plain decent armorless outfits?
Asking for a friend.
The true beauty of Battlemonk Class is that it makes Mage + Power of Punch = Ultimate Warrior
It basically turns Intelligence and Willpower into Agility and Strength as far as Strike Damage and Attack Speed are concerned.
Sadly I remain a fashion disaster for now, but the soul still burns.
I wonder if there is a location or reliable way to find higher quality unarmored gear.
Within you'll find the start of a quest chain that results in battlemonk skills for all your team, or super stronk sword and board wuxia style for one character. Fair warning, the mobs in there are tough, and you'll have to fight a powerful foe in the quest chain, and the final foe sure isn't a slouch either.
Probably best to get some levels and gear under your belt if you haven't (I tried to go there almost immediately. Pretty rough stuff.)
When the times comes, help the Monks defeat Yulian.
You will lose the chance to learn Yulian's sword style though, which is a very strong 1h Sword Fighting Style.
But if you side with her, you lose the Battle Monk class, and you also lose access to the Izziel Temple merchants, and I THINK you lose access to the Izziel Temple Arena.
And you can always do some Save Editing if you want either class that bad. lol
If you're determined to play "Fair", I still say Battlemonk is the best option because it's passive effects enhance ANY class that uses it. Yulian's class buffs are only useful for 1h Fighters. Plus you keep access to the temple services.
And i'm pretty sure Yulian becomes a recruitable tavern merc even if you try to fight her. Actually, I KNOW she becomes a recruitable Tavern Merc, because i recruited her....before I ever even got to the Izziel Temple questline. lol. The game's still very buggy
I even had her in my party when I finally met her for "the first time". The Duplicate Yulian even had the same level, equipment, and stats as my Party Yulian. But the way the quest ends, i'm pretty sure she is meant to be recruitable even if you side against her.
