Javelin Heavy Cargo Cockpit Depressurization Bug?

I don't know if this is something I'm doing incorrectly or a bug, but when I depressurize the front cockpit of a javelin heavy cargo using the regulator, then cut the six cut points around the cockpit, the entire ship depressurizes. Fortunately it's no worse than opening a door, so no major damage occurs.

This has happened on both javelin heavy cargo ships I've tried to salvage when the front half of the ship is pressurized. I'm currently Rank 9.

To reproduce this:
1) Get a javelin heavy cargo ship. The ship must start with at least all the front and cockpit compartments pressurized.
2) Enter the ship using the airlock and go straight to the cockpit.
3) Decompress the cockpit with the regulator on the wall (I noticed that I had to do this twice because after the first time, the game said the space was still pressurized the first time. This may be related?)
4) Cut the two cut points on top behind the glass, the two cut points behind that, and then the two final cut points on the back wall.

After cutting the last of the six cut points, you should get a depressurization event across the whole front of the ship as if you had opened the door.
