Controller Intermittent

recently picked this up, and while it has native pad support, its also intermittent and makes the game unplayable, its not my pad doing this, as the windows overlay works fine with no problems, just doesnt recognise my inputs, then it does, then it doesnt

Occasionally getting this in menu, have to restart to fix.

think i fixed it, go into controller settings>general contoller settings>tick xbox configuration support that seemed to fix it, weird but now i can shipbreak in the comfort of my couch!

I am having the same issue. Sometimes my xbox controller will work fine, sometimes it cuts out after playing anywhere from 1 minute to half an hour, and other times it won't function at all. I have tried restarting, reinstalling, and adjusting the controller settings in Steam. The controller works perfectly fine in other games

I have tried to get XBox, Dual Shock & Steam Controller to work and I get nothing. Joystick, steering also nothing. All respond properly in steam/windows setup screens, but nothing in-game.
