Any way to disable the story stuff?
I just want to dismantle ships. Why they thought that adding a story you can't skip past in a game like this was a good idea, I will never know. I mean, they were already telling a non intrusive story when I was dismantling the ships... Why stop that.

Is there a setting? Mod? Something I can change in the game files? I know it's only a slight delay but christ is it annoying to have to sit through.

You'd have as much money as there are people annoyed with someone deciding to stick an irrelevant, but blatantly political story into a product people payed money for?

The best way to disable the story that I've found? Stick yourself in the Furnace. Or Processor, I guess.

if you do it enough times there's a prize!

Man, no one gave you the ability to skip the story. You should form a union and go on strike!

I don't even care about the politics. The problem is that even if the story was Pulitzer material, after hearing it a dozen times it gets boring.

What about it is political? Unions are not a partisan issue or rather they shouldn't be.

I am not from the U.S. where every single issue completely splits apart the population and is dominated by radicals and populists who exert control over their gullible population through abuse of identity politics.

Maybe that's why you're so shocked.
Oro 2022 年 6 月 17 日 上午 10:12
Maybe, but lots of places in the world share the issues with union corruption and worker's rights not being respected, it's not just a U.S. dialogue.

That's not an issue of unions, that's an issue of people. People in every single industry and facet of life can be corrupted and that happens literally everywhere in the world.
But the union as an idea is a bipartisan issue.

Framed like that, unions are unnecessary because an employer with zero greed or corruption would treat them fairly to begin with.

That just tells you that a lot of stuff is political.

Politics are pretty much everywhere, in some form of the other. Turns out that "how do we run society" is a question with far reaching answers.
