How many of you bought Homeworld 3?
How many of you left a positive review on Steam for Hardspace?
Well.. back to breaking ships.
Me out
Thats why its not a big deal, because you do this kind of thing in your life every single day.
The problem is not dialogue. Or conversations.
The problem is that it is neither of those things.
It is not people talking TO you. It is people talking AT you.
Its monologues, or conversations that completely leave you out and you're just a bystander forced to listen to it.
Which is kind of fine with Weaver and Hal for me, because one is an older guy monologuing about his wisdom about life, and the other an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that likes his own voice.
But hell of annoying the rest of the time.
"Conversations" in the hab are the absolute worst, in space I can work while they talk.
And following the problem with the talking is having no say in your own "decisions".
I'm all for unions (as long as they work as intended) and taking the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ company presented in the game down a notch.
But being signed up to a union without actually consenting to it is just as grating as the unasked for 1.000.000.000 debt that somehow comes out of nowhere.
Or even worse, the debt at least has the justification of being the premise for why you work there.
Being talked at is the perfect description. I also don't like when characters GLOM onto you like Lou does, i've worked with people like that in real life and they are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying, like i'm trying to do my job can you ♥♥♥♥ off?
Lou feels incredibly needy and demanding of my attention whether im interested in giving it or not and the fact that she never asks if you would like to talk but rather just talks at you makes it all the worse.
And i'm going to leave a positive review because the game is really fun despite Lou being annoying for 1% of it. And i am in 100 percent support of unions.
They will surely pop up after every single Steam Sale... :D
I dunno how long ShipBreaker sat on my Wishlist, I think it was one of the longest.
