New Achievements?
Just noticed 17 were added to the list. But haven't heard about any planned updates aside from the console release. Is there any info available yet or still having to wait to see what's up?

I thought I was just about to hit 10/10 achievements unlocked and then noticed I was on 10/27. Very interesting...

THanks for the find Takovacplays!

Looks like a lot of them are natural gameplay bits so that's good. Repair suit, die in the various ways, and ghost ship stuff. So that's good. A few are leaving me confused but hopefully will figure em out when I come back to this in a week or two.

There is nothing more useless than achievements in a game. Nice to have but nothing really needed for a good game.

Glad ya got that off your chest Niceguy!

Ugh, I hate it when games add new achievements. I had 100% completed and now I have less than 50%. Now I like the developers even less than I did before which is a the real achievement here.

slight ree, I was already 100% but gives me a good reason to come back to the game overall seethe + cope to those who don't like achievements.

Seems like a ploy to get people back into playing a game AFTER they 100% it. Not sure I like that slippery slope they are building there.

Do not get me wrong, I had a banging time playing this while rockin' out to the Heavy Metal soundtrack, Blue Oyster Cult, Manowar, and Mozart. But, it does feel a little... annoying? Do not know if annoying is the right word. It is off-putting at least.

Is anybody able to actually unlock these achievements? Do they require me to start a new game or something?

Although the link posted above doesn't specify, I'm going to assume the additions will go live along with the console version of the game around the 20th of this month

Don't know if a new game will be required instead of just working off an already completed save. Kinda do, kinda don't want it to just award everything the moment I reinstall and launch the game. So, wait and see.

I don't necessarily want them to auto-award and I'm definitely looking forward to playing through again, but I'm not sure I want to fully pay back my debts a second time

from what I can extract from the descriptions (hidden until you unlock them), You do need to start a new game for some of them, while others should be doable during existing gameplay.
There are some for different choices during vital missions (don't want to spoil anything) as well as reaching certain goals, that you can't reach anymore, once you finished.

And what exactly do the devs get, if you play a game, after you bought it? They don't get any more money from you for that, so they don't have any incentive to do that.
Unless they add achievements for DLCs, which is not the case for these new achievements - they are all achievements you can get in a normal playthrough.

Maybe they'll start playing the game again, then enjoy it, or remember to leave a review, or something, I guess?
