Hardspace: Shipbreaker

The devs behind this would be perfect for a Star Wars: Scrapper Guild game
I was thinking about how great this game was and realised its a great concept for a Star Wars experience aswell. In the first hour of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order we get to see The Scrapper Guild break down Venators and CIS ships. Thats when it hit me, the devs behind this excellent game would be perfect to tell a story from that perspective. Being a shipbreaker/scrapper in endtime of the Clone Wars and The Rise of the Empire could be something really interesting. And for once we dont have to play a Jedi, Soldier or something akin to this. If the devs are fans of that brand they could put any number of lore bits, info bits and more about the various veichles and ships you break down from the Clone Wars and pre Clone Wars.

Beyond that I also hope you keep supporting the main game with more content and maybe a sequel one day its fantastic.

I'm not sure that would work.

See, the key problem is that Venators are big. Hardspace is already limited by it's engine in how big a ship you can dismantle (and gameplay wise, dismanteling a Venator on your own would take weeks).

If you gave this game a Star Wars Skin, about the biggest thing you might feasibly be able to dismantly would be the Millenium Falcon. Maybe not even that.

You would have to build it in an engine that could handle it. And maybe you would cut large and then focus on scrapping smaller parts etc. You see how the droids cuts of parts of the ship and move it elsewhere for scrappers to work on smaller bits. And you might not play as a solo guy flying around. I think they could find a neat concept that works for SW. For me Im also intrigued at watching the events of this time from a different perspective. :)

I was thinking about the same thing - but I wonder if they could retrofit the engine to accommodate working in superstructures? So you have vast interiors that aren't entirely destructible while you work on specific parts - like the reactor, or parts inside of bays.

That could also be a way to do it.Only the devs could say if there engine could accomplish that with heavy modifications or as it is.
