Ship is 100% Gone, But Game Will Only Let Me "Continue Last Shift"
Edit: it was a mistake on my part. I didn't pick that the game was making everything else not work to try and convince me to click the green "TRAINING" button in the ship selection screen, for me to receive a tutorial on tether use....

Original:
For some ungodly reason, there isn't a "finish with current ship" button to say "I'm DONE with that", and the game will ONLY let me waste an entire shift to "continue where i left off" except that when i float outside for my shift there's literally only 3 itsy-bitsy pieces of junk that can't be burned, pushed, or grabbed...there's literally nothing for me to interact with, so I'm wasting shifts, and am charged the usual 500,000 fees when I can't make any profit.

Maybe make a screenshot to reinforce your issue.

It's not offering you other ships? There's indeed no button to finish a ship. When you feel you're done, choose the next one.

I couldn't because there were zero ships available.

I figured it out... Apparently I was just supposed to know that just because I unlocked tethers, now I'm supposed to hit the green "Training" ship option...which was never explained verbally or in text and wasn't clear because I thought I had finished training.

It used to be worse tho since you could also start other ships and not do the training. Its now a lot more clear than it used to be.
Kaery May 29, 2022 @ 4:36pm
Yeah, when it offers you training, it won't give you other ships til you do it.
At least by now, it lets you choose to start training, earlier on in development if they offered training, you had to do it right then. Just started on a ship? No, you gotta go train now.
Now you can finish your ship. x)

Idk, seemed pretty clear to me. It's the only option the game gives you other than continuing your last ship and Weaver is just telling you about how you unlocked some new stuff. This will become a recurring thing every time you unlock new stuff, you do a training ship.

Actually for every tutorial Weaver says he'll teach you and you can start whenever you're ready. Being done with the current ship would qualify.

There is no "finish" button. You decide when you want to move on to the next ship, whether it's fully cleared out or not. Other than the goal rewards you can see listed and stickers, it's not a big deal if you completely finish one or not.

There should be additional ships listed at the selection screen. If there isn't, there should be a training listed. If there isn't, you're save might indeed be bugged somehow.

I don´t really understand why it would need an explaination....it´s the only option you have, so Weaver might be convonced you need training. It´s just obvious

I just had the same issue. It won't let me pick a new ship, and I thought the TRAINING button was just going to lead back to the tutorial.

They could redo the buttons to make them say which specific training they're for to remove any ambiguity. On the other hand, if it's only two people in almost 3 weeks who bothered to post about it, it may not be worth the effort.

nah... there are multiple people who didnt understand Tutorials/trainings.... or listen to Weaver when he tells them, that a training will follow.

I'm actually totally amazed by the number of people who ask questions in the forum which were totally explained and practiced (without penalty) in the tutorial segments.

Some people seem to avoid the tutorial segments.
Perhaps they do not realize that there is essentially free, "no harm, no foul" progress on debt, MPs, and LTs in most of the tutorials.

When starting a game (I've done a number since I am ONLY playing No Revival - "Spares" just make me feel "icky"), I always play with Training turned ON, for the sake of the free progress.

I also try to do the specific Training Objective LAST, after disassembling most of the ship, because the resource charges will re-commence once you complete the last objective, when Weaver says you are good to go for now.

Yea, god forbid some people have ADHD and get caught up in the game and are enjoying themselves, only to forget what a single line of (usually unimportant) audio told us a whole ship ago. Might have even been a day or two ago IRL because, you know, some of us have jobs and lives.... but sure... go ahead and imply anyone who didn't pick up on a tiny hint is somehow mentally deficient.... Way to go bro, you're such a genius compared to us Normies!
