Pressurizing is inconsistent on Javelin
Depressurizing Jav ship interiors without causing at least one explosive decompression is pretty much impossible due to how the pressure logic is set up. If anyone thinks that is not the case, I would like to hear why and how.

One would expect that if you have removed an interior "service door" and cycled the atmospheric regulator that you would get a graceful depressurization of both the interior room and the service section.

Except it doesn't work that way: the game only pressurizes the room where the regulator is and then sees that "oh no, there are now two rooms with different pressure states intersecting" causing an explosive decompression.

So I have two questions about this:
1. is this the expected behavior?
2. how should this be handled to avoid explosive decompressions?

huh? I don't think i had a problem like that, I normally depressurize one room then open all the doors until the pressure is gone. Only time i had explosive decompression was if i disconnected a wall or place a hole in the hull of the ship then things go bad.

I had trouble with some of the atmospheric regulators not depressurizing some of the Rms. I'd come in from the air-lock, then go to 'em and activate them, but nothing. I was able to get to the outside of the airlocks (like in the crawlspace) and cut the supports on the air-locks. It wasn't a violent decompression... Just the ship being propelled to... wherever it ends up.

Weird, I just tried again now on a new ship and didn't have the issue... could be some specific variants that cause issues.

I've done the lower grade, blue Heavy cargo variants without that issue. Maybe its the higher tier?

Could be, i saw the issue on T5 but can't repro on T6

I've been tinkering with stuff like what you said, cutting the doors so they stop closing and causing all these bubbles, then I hit the depressurization switch and then the ship blows up. Other times I've popped off an entire wall that was closing off a pressurized area and it just acts like it was all empty, not even a harmless decompression.

Definitely a bit inconsistent and weird right now.
