Wow I did the same thing as I do too, by lowering it to the barge. Yup, as soon as it enter the barge the Rail still stuck with the industrial hoist, and unable to finish my Work Order.
I haven't start the new ship yet, (Salvage Runner). Does it come with the Rail and Industrial hoist too?
I did this on a SG6 Salvage Runner, and yes they have a three sets of Rails with a chance on Industrial Hoists connected to them.
Then my suspicion about the update was right
When will the next update release usually?
Usually every two weeks there is an update.
Dang it, well guess we won't finish those two Work Order altogether for a while then. Thank you though.
In the meantime you could melt the Rail Guide it's attached too, usually it's not the entire piece since ti's glued segments.
Okay, I'll try out in the mean time. Thank!
So when you say Melt the rail which is basically destroying the Rail?
Yes, using the Stinger (laser cutter) to melt and thus destroy the Rail Guide part it's attached to. Alternatively your could slice the short end with the SplitSaw destroying only part of the Rail Guide, just be wary of the electrical arcs.
I tried that too (cutting the rail), then of course I have to scrap the rail. The good news is there's plenty of Industrial hoist floating around unattached from the rail in on of those new ship. May have to try melt it if I have to.
Just wanna say thank again, because this time I tried on one of the Gecko Heavy Cargo.

It's sad that we have to waste some of the Rail, but at least we keep more space for the barge, also without wasting the whole rail into the barge.
