15 minute shift for real?
I am down with every aspect of the game and it's hard space appeal but the 15min shift really kills it for me, i get there should be a shift limit but 15 is way, way too short, it should be 30 at least with an upgrade path to make it longer like maxing out a 2 hour shift or something like that, if ppl want the 15min shift that should be like a hard core difficulty thing, I like to take my ships apart a little slower then most ppl and not with a gun to the back of my head timer forcing me to rush.

Before I get pegged with "get gud" commits I would like to point out im in a lot of pain due to a spinal cord injury and im not going to get much faster then I am now.

love the game and game feel but this 15min timer is too much for me I can't keep up and I'm hardly making more then the daily det sadly and rushing has already had me destroy valuable items

I agree with this. 15 minutes is a little too short on time.

A lot of people are very vocally for or against the 15min timer. There is a pinned thread in this forum with over 900 replies

I 100% agree..

I hated the timer when I first started because I was under the impression that it mattered in some way, but it really doesnt. You can spend as many shifts as you like on a single ship. Even when I spend 4+ shifts on a ship I'm still getting 2mil+ per shift and making good progress with my debt.

The only thing I dislike now is the hard transition at the end of the shift.

forget about the timer and just play the game tbh there is like 9 million in a ship that can be 18 or more shifts no one is holding a gun to your head you just think they are.

The 15 minute timer is only the timer for the day's shift. You can take literally as much time as you want on any ship.

You can pull 20 shifts for a mackerel, for sure, but you're doing it at a loss.

I do empathize with OP, due to their physical situation it's probably pretty rough. Until devs decide to add a difficulty modifier though that alters some aspect of the shifts/payments, though, I can only really recommend cheat engine to freeze or extend the timer. I don't think anyone's made a table yet for the game, though.

The timer really only sucks in the early game, once you're on to more profitable ships it's barely noticeable.

Shift time should be based on your level. Greenhorns they only trust on their own for 15 minutes, then add 5 minutes to the shift for each level, i.e.: level 3 = 25 minute shift, level 8 = 50 minutes
