If the patch doesn't resolve it for everyone, we have a .ini file modification that you can do. We are not putting this .ini file into the patch because it is very untested and very risky. It is something you can try locally though. This may also fix the tearing and weird display issues others have reported.
We also have a speculative fix for the weird jumping bugs people have found. Again, none of us can repro it but we think we know what is causing it.
Thanks to everyone that has reported issues and provided detailed information!
When I alt+tab, I can see the game cursor but the menu still doesn't appear and when I check task manager, I notice that the Unreal Engine crash reporter seems to be trying to open, but cannot for whatever reason. Close the game from task manager and try to launch it again, in my case through the GOG Galaxy client, and no problem from there.
Thanks for this. It has been fixed in the upcoming patch.
I'm hoping today. Will update as soon as I confirm.
Update: The sound dissaprearded after it started raining. the rain has stopped and the annoying sound hasn't reappeared.
Second update: the sound has returned. It seems to reappear when I am in the farm area or near the large crystal with the spinning rings.
Change screen resolution made it crash again. Too bad, I really love mystery games and it is look so promising. Hope you guys can resolve it soon. Thanks
Are you able to give this fix a go? https://steamcommunity.com/app/1160220/discussions/0/4307086417516205479/

This will cause no loss of save data but some options settings might have been reset to default.
If this doesn't fix the issue, please reach out to us and we will continue to look at the problem.
Thank you for playing Paradise Killer and for your patience and understanding!
