Acid and rubber
Does Acid only come from Arena rewards?
I mean, after I unlocked Zinc it started appearing randomly in the void, so I was sort of hoping Acid was the same.

Are there any ways of getting Acid (or rubber directly, as that's what I really want) other than that?

if its like that then why would we have to unlock / research acid collection,.. but at the moment a assume its the only why ....

You can buy acid in the vending machines at the depots.
