locked out of quests?

can anyone confirm if its possible to get quests if you still have one specific that you cant solve.
i still have the "collect one lump" thing and have not found a singleone of them, iam at the point now where i got research lvl over 30 and if my counter is correct traveled through over 50 gates. But still not a single lump

Lumps are those things floating in the void. Like a lhuge ball of coal etc. If you've reached research 30 then you should've unlocked Coal, Zink and Silicon at least. Not sure about the Gasoline.

You should be able to find them and grab onto them with te grappling hook.

iam now in chapter 2, full research done, everything build but yeah not one single lump :) not a big deal in the end since everything dropps normal too but that damn quest is still there. Its like they just got deleted but the someone forget to delete the quest
I played the game years ago and there i got them, the big things hat you have to carry to the mashine (forget the name)

Ps if i remember correctly there was big ice blocks too in the past, but havent seen one yet
