Does this game have a road map?
Hi, I have been watching this game for a while now. While I was initially enthusiastic it seems like the totality of the game has no direction. Am I wrong? Is there a post or something that states what the goals/milestones of the development is for this game? Otherwise, reading some of the post it seems like it's development limbo, which would be a disappointment as at least on the initial announcement of the game - it seemed like a good premise.
Anyway, just wondering what the goals are for the games development since you have just released chapter 2 but there is no indication of what that means to the development timeline of the game as a whole.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, there is a roadmap, and it can be found on the game's Steam page in the main description.

OK, it's 'hidden' on the drop down under the description as you said. I realize that's probably nothing related to what you've written as it's most likely Steam's visible text limit before it adds that 'roll up' of the rest of the text. So there are 3 chapters and you just released Chapter 2? Actually that's kind of exciting. It means you have one more chapter to go before the game is 'feature complete'. I think that should be a huge title on your game page - "a 3 chapter saga.. just released Chapter 2" or something to that effect.

Well, the store page says:

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“We are hoping to deliver the full version of the game in 2024, although timelines may be subject to change. Early Access is all about improvements, so we will leave it when we are confident that Voidtrain has reached its best possible state.”

So it's falling far short of schedule. The news tab will show you that are actual updates are maybe three times a year, with a few hotfixes. Otherwise it's all Devlogs and sales and hype posts signposting everything but actual development progress.

So yes, it's in development limbo, which is still a lot better than dead in the water.

Can we expect the game to be fully finished and released before or after I expire from old age? I mean no offense but development for this game seems painfully slow I see one small update once a year, meanwhile you have Palworld ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out a massive updates 3 times a year while dealing with legal battles that are requiring them to change massive parts of the game at the same time.
